MIKE MORTON
After the fire, Mike was never sure he'd figure out what happened. For a short time, he didn't even want to think about it. It was only after identifying body after body of the people who raised him did he decided to take a deeper look.After all, people who died in a fire don't have wounds like that.With his focus on the investigation, Mike needed something to keep his anxious mind occupied in-between correspondence; and Negaiboshi was exactly what he was looking for. Living in a camper van parked off campus, Mike's working to keep his two lives as seperate as possible. The last thing he wants is for someone to know what he plans to do with the real culprit.Little did he expect to become a participant in the 2023 Negaiboshi Killing Game, and one of the 7 out of 33 people to survive. Encumbered now with even more momentos of the passed, the tiny van he calls home seems to have another few souls along for the ride. He hardly minds the company; he only wishes they were here with him in person.He had plans to become a private investigator, with the experience the game gave him. As it turns out, the best place for business in his situation is parking outside a funeral parlor. At least there he's close to everyone again.... He should, probably repair his relationship with his surviving family, first...
RAVEN CRONWELL
He'd once vowed to never trust another human. He thought it would be easier if he never loved again.Looking back, he's embarrassed for thinking like that. Who knew it would take a middle-schooler beating some sense into him to make him come around?Either way, he's far and beyond a better man. What seems like a rag-tag bunch of misfits was his new family, and he'd die before letting anything happen to them. They often insist he was overreacting, but he wasn't ready to let his guard down. He doubts he ever will be.The same extends to his students; a job he never expected to take, but that's not to say he regrets it. All he wants is to be a good example, no matter who is watching.
